We would like to inform you here about the system requirements for using the app and describe various possible uses based on different scenarios.

THE SMALL DIFFERENCE

What differentiates our app from possibly similar apps from our "competitors"?

This question is quickly and easily explained:

The QR-CCODE-JET works platform independent.
With almost all competitor apps, you are tied to the vendor's platform and you usually pay additional fees there - sometimes for using the app - sometimes for a custom modification downstream. But that means you can't clearly calculate your budget for the ticket scanner in advance.

The QR-CODE-JET can be deployed where you want it. It will be set up and delivered according to customer's request.
It does not matter if it is a pure "offline version", if the captured data should be sent to a computer in your company, or if the communication via API interface with the platform of another provider should take place.

You pay no usage fee, there are no hidden costs. According to the order, you pay only ONCE a fixed setup and creation fee. After that you can use the QR-CODE-JET app on as many smartphones in your company as you like. We think this is fair and transparent!

a) Attendance event:
Do they use the app for admission control, do they use the app for any catering service booked by the attendee.

b) Hybrid event:
Benefit from the possibilities as described under point "a" and use the app for your online participants additionally for the admission to the online event.

You decide: Ticket scanning online or offline

You want to log the access of your passengers based on the tickets shown at boarding and process data later?
The app processes this procedure ticket by ticket in milliseconds.

You decide whether the participant data should be scanned offline - using a list previously imported into the app - or whether the data should be sent in real time to your computer in the office via the mobile data function of your smartphone.
We offer different solutions for this.

Recording of working time:


QR code capture - data communication over your wifi network with your server

You want to perform an efficient working time recording that also complies with every requirement of the General Data Protection Regulation?
Our app QR-CODE-JET is predestined for this.

Case study:
Your printed employment contract contains a QR code with a unique employee ID.
The employee obtains the download URL of your app via the QR code feature of their cell phone.

After app installation and initial startup, the employee scans the QR code with the employee ID using the app's scan function.
After this, the employee enters a four-digit PIN code as protection against unauthorized access.

At the entrance to your company, there is a sign that says "Admission" and below it is a QR code, which contains, for example, a 64-digit code.
When the employee starts work, he or she scans the QR code and the app transfers the employee ID, including date and time stamp, to your HR management software.
At the end of work, the same procedure occurs at another sign and the data is sent to their software.

These procedures can also be used to record break times.

Important Note:

We offer support for this recording in the area of working time recording with our App.
Nothing is further from our mind than to present the "transparent employee" or to push a "human screening"

As a responsible company, you should be aware of all legal requirements regarding the recording of working hours.
Your software must be capable of anonymizing certain data in statistical analyses in accordance with legal requirements.
Before you start any labor recording process, please be sure to seek the advice of a lawyer and talk to the manufacturer of your human resources management software.

General info
Hardware requirements:

Android devices:
Do not use "cheap phones (chinaware)".
Go for quality like Samsung from S9/S10 or comparable devices from other manufacturers as a minimum.

iOS smartphones:
At least: iPhone 10 (better 11).


The more powerful the phone (in terms of memory management and processor) the faster the app will work.
Inevitably, quite a few processes are triggered in parallel by the online sync.

Operating system requirements:

For Android smartphones and tablets from Android vers. 13
For iOS smartphones and tablets from iOS and iPadOS Vers. 16

Possible incompatibility:

We recommend disabling firewall apps such as "Firewall without root" while scanning is in progress.

QR-CODE-JET BASIC:

This version works exclusively in offline mode during the scanning process.

Example:
On the customer side, an Excel or CSV file is exported with unique valid QR Code data.
Before starting the first scanning process, the app loads the list from the customer server into the memory.
After this, it works offline.

By means of a uniquely identifiable ticket code (serial no. with or without presented prefix), customer data can be assigned.
If only this code is to be verified, the app checks whether the code is valid and then enters the success message with date and time stamp in another field.
If the code is invalid, the error message is displayed in the app.

At the end of the day, the complete list with all entries can be sent via the app menu via email directly to the customer for further processing (import into customer DB, etc.).
The list is then deleted in the app via another button.
We clarify the procedure including all required fields in detail with the customer before creating the app, of course.

QR-CODE-JET PRO
and interfaces requirements:

This version works in online and offline mode during the scan process.

Example:
Data exchange between app and server takes place bidirectionally

This means in detail:
When the app is started for the first time, the overall list is loaded from the server via the interface and stored on the smartphone.
After this, you start with the scan.
If there is no WLAn connection, this is indicated by a red bar on the top of the display and the scan results are written to the previously loaded list. As soon as the WLan network is available again, the smartphone sends the offline generated data to the server, updates the entries there and then fetches the updated list to store it on the memory.
So you will not lose any important data

The process is identical for parallel running processes like scan at admission and scan of a catering authorization etc.

Interfaces:
a) App access via API on customer server
b) App access via API on our server (optional costs)

Recommendation:

We recommend installing a SIM card with a prepaid volume for mobile data in every smartphone for the possible WLan network failure - for example at an exhibition center or in a convention center. The app detects the WLan failure and immediately switches to "mobile data" mode. As soon as the WLan network is available again, the app switches to it.

For locations without a fixed location (buses, ships, etc.), we recommend working with a SIM card.
